This 1-year certification programme includes 12 live group training and supervision sessions via Zoom (details here). These take place once per month. All sessions are recorded. If you cannot make a live session, you are required to watch the recording.
In addition to the 12 live/recorded sessions, you are to complete the following steps:
Step 1:
Complete the Needs and Values Elicitation Form with the intention to clarify your desired outcomes for this course and to set your training trajectory. The content that you fill in is for your personal reference, and needn’t be submitted.
Step 2:
Download the 3 training manuals and journal that were provided to you upon enrollment:
- Transpersonal Coaching Handbook
- Open Awareness Handbook
- ASE Facilitator Training Manual
- Transpersonal Coaching Psychology (TCP) Journal, Volume 1, 2 & 3
Step 3:
A. Start reading the above 3 training manuals/handbooks and both Volumes of the TCP Journal.
B. Watch the 44 training videos sequentially.
C. Watch all Transpersonal Coaching Explorations recordings on YouTube.
D. Go through the list of Trauma Aware Resources for Coaches – watch all videos & explore the SIFS tools.
Step 4:
A. Submit your completed Transpersonal Coaching Handbook Review (near the back of the book).
B. Provide answers to the set of questions that appear below all 44 training videos. Your answers to each video review question should consist of only one to two sentences. Please submit all 44 video reviews in one document.
C. Below your 44 video reviews, in the same document, include a 40-50 word reflection for any five of the Transpersonal Coaching Explorations recordings on YouTube.
D. At the end of the same document, write a 150-200 word reflection on the importance of being trauma aware as a coach, including your key learnings from the Trauma Aware Resources for Coaches.
Step 5:
Listen to the seven ASE guided processes in this link (select amoung the first 18 recordings on this page). Not more than one recording should be listened to each day. You are encouraged to write about your experience of each guided process in a journal, but we don’t require you to submit your journal entries.
Step 6:
Read the Integrative Coaching Program page and the ICP info for facilitators. Note any questions that you might have about facilitating the ICP, so that these can be addressed in your supervision sessions.
Step 7:
Place at least 2 substantial posts in the Transpersonal Coaching & Therapy Network Forum. You may post in any two of the current forum topic threads, or create a topic of your own.
Step 8:
You are to log at least 50 hours of coaching (paid or probono sessions) and submit a report for 10 of those coaching sessions (10 case studies). Each session’s report, consisting of between 200 to 300 words, should include:
- The reason why the client came for coaching.
- The trigger of the client’s issue (if any).
- The unwanted state, in your client’s words (if any).
- The problem behavior (if any).
- The client’s desired state.
- The new behaviour(s) or conditions that your client hopes to manifest.
- Your means of intervention.
- A rationale outlining why you chose to intervene as you did.
- The client’s response to the intervention, or the outcome of the session.
- The type of action (next steps) that the client has committed to taking.
- Your means of checking if the client’s next step(s) will be ecological?
- Your client’s state at the end of the session.
- Your recommendations to the client in terms of follow up, their ongoing practice, accountability, etc.
- Your overall impression about how the session went.
- What you have learned about yourself as a coach and as a person as a result of the session.
In addition to the report, your required coaching hours should be submitted using the IACTM Coaching Hours Log. All of your clients and yourself are to sign the Coaching Agreement Form (this is for you to keep on record and is not submitted with your report). With respect to client privacy and confidentiality, your report and the coaching hours log should use pseudonyms and not reveal any of your client’s private or sensitive content. If we suspect that any particular sessions might not have taken place or if inaccurate information has been provided, we maintain the right to investigate such cases.
Step 9:
All your assignments will be reviewed and you will recieve feedback in writing or via a video call. You are required to acknowledge the feedback and implement any necessary changes in your assignments.
Certification:
Your Transpersonal Coach certificate will be issued once all assignments have been completed and all 12 training/supervision sessions attended via Zoom, or you have watched the recordings.
Please note: These certification criteria are achievable in 12 months. If you wish to obtain the certificate and you need more time, then after 12 months you will be required to pay the Supervision Group membership fee – for which you will obtain another year of monthly group supervision sessions, additional fireside conversations with experts and access to our other professional resources.
